Find Your Perfect Foundation

What's your issue with Foundation?

''It doesn't look natural enough''

Forget your power prejudice: Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation, £33, comes in 20 shades and wears flawlessly

''It slips off by Lunchtime''

Is your skin oily? → Yes → Acne-prone → Yes

Oxygenating acne control foundation, £52, stimulates oxygen into your skin and allows it to breathe. It reconstructs skin, build collagen and reinforces natural skin healing e.g scars. Also it is SPF 25 and totally non-irritable. It also has 2% salicylic acid which control the oil in your skin, preventing breakouts and pimples. Pricey but worth it.

If you have severe acne you can get substances containing salicylic acid with higher percentage. Please consult your're doctor before using anything too strong on your face.

Is your skin oily? → Yes → Acne-prone → No

Perfection Lumier flawless fluid, £36. I have been using this foundation for a week now! And it is a life saver! It mops up all the oil and lasts 15hrs.

Is your skin oily? → Just a Little Bit

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin, £29, this is a great foundation if you're skin is slightly oily. I have tried this foundation and it does quite a few hours. It looks really natural on skin and adjusts to to skin's changing oil levels. However, i did have to powder my nose atleast twice but my skin is ridiculously oily.

If your're not looking to spend too much try Revlon Colourstay Makeup, £12.49.

Is your skin oily? → Not Really → You need a long lasting all-rounder with coverage

Clarins Everlasting Foundation, £27.50, gives great coverage for you're skin. Speaking from personal experience it lasts around 7-8hrs.

If you're not looking to spend too much try Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation, £7.99.

''It looks too cakey''

Do you have dry skin? → Yes

RMK Creamy Foundation, £36, is packed with plant oils for day-long dewiness.

Do you have dry skin? → No, but it needs more glow

So many bloggers have gone on and on about this foundation i almost don't want to write a review. Nars Sheer Flow, £31, comes in 20 shades it looks so natural on the skin and gives you such a beautiful glow you almost don't have to wear anything else on your face. A very similar one is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Skin Foundation, £36.60, which pretty much does the same thing but a few pounds over. If you're not looking to spend too much try Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, £9.99, they've added fruit extracts to make your skin glow.

''It shows up my fine lines''

Are you willing to invest in a wrinkle-busting wonder? → Yes

Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Lift Foundation, £48, leaves your skin feeling plump with a flawless finish. It comes in 18 different shades and had gold silk extract to turn back time.

Are you willing to invest in a wrinkle-busting wonder?   No, just want to hide the stuff

Kiko Ulmimited Foundation, £13.90, has some great reviews online and in magazines. A lot of bloggers are talking about their products and how great they are. Kiko has some clever wrinkle-blurring tech.

''I hate the feeling of it''

Bareminerals Bareskin Serum foundation, £26, this feels
like nothing on your skin, its so light and cool it feel like skin literally! Just try it.

''It doesn't give enough coverage''

What do you want to hide   Pores

I used Mac Studio fix Fluid, £21.50, until its last drop, it is such a great foundation it lasted me a whole year because i didn't need to use a lot to get great coverage, it gives you a great finish and you dont look a ghost in pictures at all. It is such a professional foundation, kind of hard to beat this one.

What do you want to hide   Blemishes and discolouration

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concelar, £25, gives you great coverage without the weight.

''I cant find a shade dark enough''

Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation, £35, is a hit with makeup artists for its amazing wide range of shades.
